Nizza DOCG still red, 14.5% ABV, produced by Bava, a historic Piedmontese winery with roots in Monferrato. Vintage 2019. A wine that celebrates Barbera, the region's flagship grape, with an intense and complex bouquet. The Bava family has cultivated vines in this area since the 1600s, and built their first winery here in 1911. The PianoAlto grapes have an excellent concentration of sugars and anthocyanins, and the tannins are sweet, as is typical for good Barbera when fully ripe. The color is an intense ruby red, almost purple, reflecting its richness. It is a harmonious and velvety wine, to which the aging in wood lends a balance and grandeur that promises remarkable longevity.
