The Story
A still dry white wine made from Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC, 12.5% ABV, produced by CasalFarneto, a Marche-based winery founded in 1995. 100% Verdicchio. 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. A Verdicchio that expresses the varietal's distinctive character, with meticulous vinification enhancing its freshness and minerality. Vinification occurs through complete reduction (absence of oxygen). After cooling the grapes, they are gently pressed in the presence of nitrogen. The must undergoes cold static decantation before fermentation. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 16-18 degrees C for approximately 15 days. The resulting wine ages in stainless steel for approximately 3 months. The subsequent bottling takes place using sterile cold bottling with microfiltration. Once bottled, the wine ages for at least 1 month in the bottle. Ample aromas of fruit and white flowers such as hawthorn, apple, and citrus notes, with a characteristic almond finish. Pale straw yellow with greenish highlights. It expresses the typical characteristics of Verdicchio, very pleasant. On the palate it is savory, harmonious, fresh and soft, with a lingering and typically almondy aftertaste that confirms the olfactory sensations.
