The Story

A classic method sparkling rosé brut from the heart of Tuscany, produced by Castello Pomino - Frescobaldi. 12% ABV, 2019 vintage. A classic method made from Pinot Noir grapes, a tribute to the Tuscan winemaking tradition. The hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes arrived at the winery in 15 kg crates during the coolest hours of the day. Gentle pressing ensured the extraction of a clear must with a light anthocyanin content. The blending of the various cuvées took place in March, followed by tirage (the addition of the liqueur de tirage), with subsequent aging on the lees for at least 36 months. Extremely fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet continues the story in terms of finesse and elegance, playing heavily on a sensation of enticing freshness. Notes of red fruit complement the citrus notes of pink grapefruit and a fresh essence of hawthorn blossom. The palate is dry, clean, creamy, and extremely elegant, with a sweet almond undertone supported by textbook acidity and excellent freshness. It closes with a return of cherry for a persistent finish.
