The Story
Still red wine from Mendoza, Argentina, produced by Catena Zapata. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, 2021 vintage. A Cabernet Sauvignon grown in high mountain vineyards, with altitudes ranging from 950 to 1,120 meters above sea level. Cold maceration for 3 days, fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 20 days, and post-fermentation maceration for 20-23 days. Aged 12-14 months in barrel. On the nose, it reveals aromas of blackcurrant, accompanied by hints of hawthorn, mint, and woody notes. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with smooth tannins. A floral finish.
