$38.40The Story
Argentine still red wine, produced by Catena Zapata in the Mendoza region, 14% ABV, composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Malbec, 2018 vintage. A wine that embodies the passion and dedication of Nicolás Catena, a pioneer of Argentine viticulture. The grapes are harvested by hand, and some parcels are fermented whole-cluster to enhance the tannic structure and freshness. Fermentation takes place in 500-liter oak barrels, in concrete and stainless steel tanks, at temperatures of 26-28ºC for approximately 10-5 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. On the nose, fruity and floral aromas are detected, accompanied by notes of licorice. Ruby red in color with violet reflections. On the palate, the wine is fresh, mineral, and rich.
