The Story
A still red Bordeaux, a 2017 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé produced by Château Laroque. A wine born from an exceptional terroir, with grapes grown with care and passion. Aged on fine lees partly in barriques and partly in large French and Austrian oak barrels (50% new). Blueberries, black cherries, and black raspberries with hints of lilac, Indian spices, unsmoked cigars, and espresso. A deep purple garnet color. Medium to full-bodied with wonderful concentration, firm, very fine tannins, superb freshness, and a very long, mineral finish. A wine of great structure and complexity, perfect for pairing with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
