The Story
Ferghettina Franciacorta Riserva 33 Pas Dosè is an excellent sparkling wine with the DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) label, produced in the Andro area, in the province of Brescia. It is made using the Guyot training system, using only Chardonnay vines, planted on clay and limestone soil. This type of soil gives the sparkling wine a mineral aftertaste. The producer is the Ferghettina winery, founded by Roberto Gatti around 1990 and based on his passion for viticulture, which developed at a young age and was fueled by experience. The first Franciacorta wines were produced in 1992, and from that moment on, the company began to grow steadily, acquiring land and standing out on the wine market with products of excellent quality. This wine is harvested in mid-August. The grapes are first picked by hand, carefully selected to ensure only the finest bunches reach the cellar, and then gently pressed with a press. Its distinctive feature lies in the fact that the musts are separated. Only the "fiore" must, the highest quality, is used to produce Franciacorta. Alcoholic fermentation then takes place in steel tanks at 16°-18°, followed by bottling. Once in the bottles, this Franciacorta is left to age for a full 80 months on the leave for perfect maturation. Only then is it ready for consumption.
