The Story
Barolo Riserva 2010, a still red from Piedmont, produced by Fontanafredda, a historic name in the Langhe. 14% ABV, 100% Nebbiolo. A wine celebrating the winery's 160th anniversary, a tribute to the tradition and passion for Barolo. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with floating caps, lasting an average of 10-12 days at a controlled temperature (30-31°C). Aged for at least two years in Slavonian and central French oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in bottle. The aroma is clean and intense, ample, with typical hints of wilted flowers, spices, dried leaves, and undergrowth. Ruby red in color with garnet reflections that, with age, develop orange hues.
