The Story

Still red wine from Tuscany, 12.5% ABV, produced by Castello Pomino - Frescobaldi. Blend: 95% Pinot Noir, 5% Sangiovese. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. A Pinot Noir born in a historic location, where Tuscan winemaking tradition blends with a desire for innovation. Once harvested, the Pinot Noir grapes were fermented in 60hl truncated cone-shaped oak vats at a controlled temperature and with manual punching down, especially in the early stages, which promotes the proper extraction of anthocyanins and polyphenols from the skins. Maceration lasted 13 days. Alcoholic fermentation was followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques. The Pinot Noir continued to age in barriques for another 15 months. Intense and elegant, with aromas of red berries such as blackberry, plum, blueberry, and cherry, followed by light balsamic notes of mint and nutmeg. The finish offers notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. A beautiful balance between flavor and aroma, with remarkable freshness and balance. An elegant and velvety wine with silky tannins and a long, appetizing finish.
