The Story
Still organic red wine from Piedmont, 14% ABV, produced by Giacomo Borgogno e Figli. A 2023 Langhe Bartome from the oldest winery in the Langhe, founded in 1761. Spontaneous fermentation of whole berries, without stalks, in concrete tanks for approximately 15 days at a temperature of 22 to 28°C. Aged for 1 year in large Slavonian oak barrels. Persistent and ethereal on the nose, with hints of flowers such as violets and fresh red fruit, especially wild strawberries, typical of a young Nebbiolo. Ruby red in color with purple reflections tending towards garnet. Harmonious on the palate and full-bodied sweetness. Vibrant tannins. Nebbiolo, as it should be.
