The Story
Giorgi Sangue di Giuda has its origins in the late 19th century, in 1875, when the Giorgi family began its business in the winemaking sector, producing wine for local markets. But the Giorgi family's ambitions pushed them to explore commercial horizons that went far beyond the borders of their own lands. In 1970, in fact, the company experienced a significant change of direction thanks to the brothers Gianfranco and Antonio. The two Giorgi brothers pursued their desire to create a winery of great importance, building a competitive and technologically advanced cellar. In this way, they managed to shape a strong and very solid corporate identity, which still today represents an impeccable symbol of the highest levels of quality in terms of winemaking in the Oltrepò Pavese area. The lands of Canneto Pavese, in the hamlet of Camponoce, manage to bestow the best organoleptic characteristics on Giorgi Sangue di Giuda, an intense wine, pleasantly sweet and persistent, with fragrant and vinous notes that accompany the fruity flavor. Sixty hectares of vineyards are cultivated, in addition to grapes from another three hundred different varieties, reaching an average annual production of approximately one and a half million bottles. The Giorgi family has succeeded in establishing itself on the market and offering a vast range of labels with wines capable of fully satisfying the needs of all palates. An organization that begins with the work among the rows and ends with the distribution of the finished product makes Giorgi wines present in approximately sixty countries around the world.
