Still red from the Côte Rôtie, Rhône, France, 14.5% ABV, produced by Guigal Estate. Blend: 93% Syrah, 7% Viognier. 0.75L bottle, 2018 vintage. A legendary wine, an expression of the Côte Rôtie terroir, produced by one of the most important estates in the Rhône Valley. Aged for 42 months in new oak. Guigal was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis. Red berries, blackberry, and morello cherry. Intensely aromatic, powerful, and elegant. Deep ruby red color with dark reflections. Soft attack with a balanced and supple structure, concentration, and elegant tannins. Fully expressive of the terroir.
