The Story

A still organic white wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 12.5% ABV, produced by Le Vigne di Zamo. 100% Chardonnay, 2022 vintage. A wine born in Manzano, in the province of Udine, a land of borders and influences. Le Vigne di Zamò has been cultivating the land for centuries, using methods that are attentive to sustainability. The ripest bunches are carefully selected in the vineyard, followed by direct pressing without destemming, and only 50% of the must is used. Fermentation begins in stainless steel and concludes in wood, in 300hl French oak tonneaux. After 10 months of aging in wood, with 50% spontaneous malolactic fermentation taking place, the wine is blended and finally bottled. The nose offers sensations of tropical fruit, followed by apricot, peach, and vanilla, with buttery notes, mineral notes, and a touch of spice. Golden in color. The palate is fresh and richly flavorful, moderately smooth, persistent, and consistent in its aromatic returns. It finishes with hints of dried fruit.
