The Story

Organic still red wine from Argentina, 15% ABV, produced by Masi Agricola in the Uco Valley. A blend of 70% Corvina and 30% Malbec, it blends Venetian tradition with Argentine excellence. Vintage 2019. Masi, a leading Amarone producer, brings its expertise to South America, with a winemaking process that highlights the unique characteristics of this terroir. Harvesting and vinification are carried out separately for each variety. The grapes are dried for approximately 20 days on wooden racks, modeled after the Veronese arele. The grapes lost 20% of their weight, resulting in a higher concentration of sugars and aromas. This is followed by a delicate pressing and destemming. Aged for 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barrels. Aged in stainless steel until bottling. The nose is characterized by intense aromas of berries and jam combined with nuances of mint and cinnamon. An impenetrable dark red color with purple highlights at the rim. Very bold on the palate, it then softens into almost sweet ripe fruit aromas. Stewed plums and cherries with pleasant vanilla notes lead to a long, bitter cocoa finish.
