The Story

Nicolas Feuilatte Champagne Brut Reserve is a sparkling wine Champagne AOC, an acronym for Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée, produced in France, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. This champagne is made by the Nicolas Feuillatte winery, founded in 1976 by the same name in the Adre Valley, near Reims. This area is rich in vineyards and known for its important production of refined champagnes and sparkling wines. The Nicolas Feuilatte Champagne Brut Reserve is produced by blending grapes from different crus: 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, and the remaining 20% Chardonnay. The distinctive feature of this Brut Reserve lies in its aging: it ages for at least three years in the bottle, despite the fact that legally only 15 months are required to obtain the AOC designation. It is made according to the classic method, that is, by inducing secondary fermentation in the bottle through the addition of specially selected sugars and yeasts. The Nicolas Feuilatte Champagne Brut Reserve has won numerous international awards, including the silver medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition in 2012, the gold medal at Vinalies China in 2013, and finally the bronze medal at The Global Champagne Masters in 2014. It was recognized as a Top Value Champagne with a score of 92/100 by Wine Spectator in 2011.
