The Story
Still rosé from Etna DOC, 12.5% ABV, produced by Nicosia. Blend: 100% Nerello Mascalese, 2024 vintage. A rosé that embodies the volcanic soul of Etna, with an elegance and freshness that captivate from the first sip. Nicosia, founded in 1898, is a benchmark for Sicilian viticulture. Cold maceration for 24 hours in contact with the skins before undergoing a gentle pressing. Fermentation for approximately 20-25 days at a controlled temperature (15-18 degrees C). Aged in stainless steel tanks, then approximately 3 months in bottle. Wide range of aromas ranging from floral to fruity; notes of rose hips, currants, wild strawberries, pink grapefruit, dried fruit, and spices such as pink pepper. Pale pink color with bright reflections. Great freshness and minerality on the palate, where the same fruity notes that characterize its olfactory profile are reiterated; persistent and harmonious overall.
