The Story
Still red from Burgundy, Fixin 1er Cru, 13.5% ABV, produced by Domaine Pierre Gelin. 100% Pinot Noir, 2018 vintage, 0.75L bottle. A wine born from the passion of Pierre Gelin, who has been producing high-quality wines since 1925, with a particular focus on organic farming. The vines are grown organically. To obtain quality grapes with optimal ripeness, the vines are defoliated very selectively, removing the leaves by hand. The nose is elegant and subtle, more floral (violet) than fruity. Carmine in color of moderate intensity. On the palate, there is a floral attack with a hint of mint that provides an immediate sensation of freshness. A stone fruit freshness then dominates the mid-palate. But the charm of this vintage comes from its exceptional aromatic purity: raspberries, cherries, and licorice compose an unparalleled harmonious bouquet.
