Still red from Piedmont, Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC, 14% ABV, produced by Rocche Costamagna. 100% Barbera, 2021 vintage. A Barbera d'Alba Superiore that embodies the passion and tradition of a family that has been producing excellent wines in La Morra for six generations. Maceration on the skins for approximately one week at a controlled and constant temperature of 26°C. Aged for 12 months in French oak barriques and 12 months in bottle. A meaty nose, with aromas of cherry, sour cherry, blackberry, and morello cherry, along with notes of rosewood, cocoa, and plums. Concentrated, cardinal ruby red. Superlative on the palate, persuasive, with chiseled freshness and delicate tannins. A wine that perfectly expresses the Piedmont terroir, ideal for pairing with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
