The Story

Prosecco Valdobbiadene Giall'oro Extra Dry is a DOCG wine produced by the Ruggeri winery. The Ruggeri winery can be counted among the historic producers of Valdobbiadene; founded in 1950 by Giustino Bisol, it has always succeeded over the years in producing some of the best Prosecco in the area. The vineyards extend between the Montello area and some small plots in Cartizze, with some of the winery's suppliers owning vineyards in the historic areas of San Pietro di Barbozza and Saccol. We are located at the qualitative epicenter of Prosecco production. Prosecco Giall'oro is produced exclusively with Glera vines and small quantities of Verdisia and Perera. The harvest usually begins between mid-September and early October, when the grapes have reached perfect ripeness. Once they arrive at the winery, the bunches are inspected and gently pressed. The white vinification (without the skins) takes place at a controlled temperature of 16°C. This is followed by the important prise de mousse phase, which can last from one to three months and takes place in large closed containers at a temperature between 14-15°C. Once this phase is completed, the Prosecco Valdobbiadene can be bottled and placed on inclined racks for the subsequent disgorging. After a long work, you can finally uncork a bottle of a DOGC sparkling wine with truly unique characteristics, of the finest quality and with an intense and persistent fruity aroma.
