The Story

Organic red wine from the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 14.5% ABV, produced by San Polo Azienda Agricola (Allegrini). 2018 vintage, 0.75 l bottle. A Brunello that embodies the elegance and passion of Marilisa Allegrini, the first Italian woman to grace the cover of Wine Spectator. The vines are organically grown in Podernovi. Manual harvest in the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in 25hl Slavonian oak vats. Aged for 30 months in 40hl lightly toasted Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least 6 months in bottle. The nose reveals floral aromas of violet, cyclamen, and jasmine, notes of fresh fruit, and hints of spice. A moderately deep ruby red color with light garnet highlights. Balanced on the palate, it has good structure and acidity, with smooth tannins and excellent persistence.
