The Story

Still red wine from Barolo, Piedmont, 14.5% ABV, produced by Sordo Giovanni. 100% Nebbiolo. 0.75L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Barolo that embodies the tradition and passion of the Sordo family, who have been producing excellent wines in the heart of the Langhe since 1912. Vinification involves fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with long submerged cap maceration lasting 4 to 7 weeks, depending on the vintage. Aged for 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by 4-6 months in stainless steel and a minimum of 6 months in bottle. The bouquet is intense, broad, and persistent, with hints of fine wood, mint, and ripe fruit. Over time, ethereal sensations develop, with hints of resin and sweet spices. Full-bodied, well-structured flavor, with evident acidity and tannins that evolve and balance over the years.
