The Story
A still red from the heart of Tuscany, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 14% ABV, produced by Val di Suga (Angelini). 0.75 L bottle, 2018 vintage. A wine made northeast of Montalcino, in a historic cellar that houses the wines during aging. Traditional fermentation, with extended maceration to soften the tannins. Aged in oval barrels for 24 months, then 6 months in concrete and 18 months in bottle. Notes of fresh cherry, violet, and candied fruit dominate the nose, anticipating an elegant and subtle palate with velvety tannins. Light garnet color with very bright ruby-orange highlights. A Brunello that expresses the finesse of Sangiovese and the passion of a unique terroir.
