Still organic red Chianti Classico DOCG, 14% vol, produced by Fattoria di Valiano (Tenute Piccini). 2021 vintage. A Chianti Classico born in the heart of Tuscany, in the municipality of Castelnovo Berardenga, a short distance from Siena. The Sangiovese and Merlot grapes are hand-harvested in mid-October. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for approximately 10-15 days, with frequent pumping over to promote optimal extraction of color, polyphenols, and greater complexity. Aged for 9 months in barrels. Intense aromas of violets and berries. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with excellent structure. Soft tannins and fruity notes on the finish.
