Villa Russiz Sauvignon de la Tour 2023

Still white wine from Collio DOC, 14% ABV, produced by Villa Russiz, a historic winery in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, founded in 1868. 100% Sauvignon. 0.75 L bottle, 2023 vintage. A Sauvignon that embodies the elegance of Collio, with meticulous vinification that enhances its freshness and aromatic complexity. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, at perfect ripeness and in the coolest hours of the morning. They quickly reach the cellar, where the whole grapes are gently pressed. The resulting free-run must, after an initial racking, is placed in temperature-controlled fermentation tanks. The wine then remains on its fine lees for at least 10 months and is then bottled 9 months after harvest. Very intense and delicate, reminiscent of white peach, elderberry, grapefruit, and exotic fruit. Straw yellow with greenish reflections. A full-bodied wine, yet elegant and velvety. It's perfect for long aging.
